Pastor Timothy Mckeown

On April 16, 2023, GracePointe Church called Timothy McKeown to serve as pastor of the church. Pastor Tim has been a full-time vocational minister for more than 30 years, with deep family and spiritual roots in Parker County. His first pastorate ministry was at First Baptist Church of Whitt, where he was ordained in 1991. As the grandson and great-grandson of Baptist preachers in Parker, Wise, and Palo Pinto counties, Tim grew up in Weatherford, attended North Side Baptist Church, and was licensed to preach by Emmanuel Baptist Church. Tim and Melissa have been married for more than 40 years, have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

"The Springtown/Azle area is exploding in population, and I am excited to lead GracePointe Church to reach our growing community with the good news gospel message of Jesus Christ. I love GracePointe's vision for the future, the diverse spiritual heritage, and history from the merging of Midway and LaJunta churches in 2019. My prayer is that we will live up to our name and be a "point of grace" as we share and show the love of God."

In addition to spending time with family, Tim and Melissa love "gardening" (really, "yardwork"), traveling, and leading trips for missions and spiritual enrichment, such as going to see The Ark Encounter in Kentucky. In 2019, Timothy published his first book, The Gospel of John, One Day at a Time, a 7-week daily devotional book for new (and not-so-new) believers, available at Amazon in hardback, paperback, and Kindle editions. He also writes Sunday School material for denominational publications.
